ARDENTLY SEEKING GRACE:
A humble explanation of this website
“There is some kiss we want
with our whole lives,
the touch of Spirit on the body . . .”
Rumi, There is Some Kiss
“Ardently Seeking Grace” sounds like one of the desperate pleas you might see in the personal want ad section of the local newspaper. But the picture (the toad praying with focused intensity and a heart full of love) is an apt characterization of my journey. Like the proverbial frog waiting for the kiss of grace to turn the longing aspirant into the beaming prince, I am a spiritual hopeful – praying, studying and practicing -ardently seeking grace. And this website is a compilation of my journey: the symbols and writings I’ve created as part of this path, and the businesses and other partners who have supported this process.
The Way of this Seeker
“I may not be smart, but I know what Love is.” – Forrest Gump
“I may not be a swami, sage, siddha, prophet, priest, guru, rabbi or other learned man, but I know what love is, and I’m on my way home.” – Koozy
Caveat emptor (fair warning/ buyer beware) – do not follow my path if you seek a guide to show you the way. I am a sadhaka (spiritual seeker) and not a siddha (one who has reached the spiritual goal). Through meditation, contemplation and inquiry, I have glanced upon the high walls that hold the Garden of Eden, but I have not scaled its walls to look upon, walk within, or take up residence in the garden. I am like Zebulon Pike who glanced upon the great peak near Colorado Springs, and aspired to make the summit, without knowing how long it might take before he even reached the base of the mountain to commence the ascent.
The writings and symbols in this website represent the steps on my journey – my path as a sadhaka (a spiritual seeker). This is my synthesis and digestion of the teachings of spirit and knowledge from the Infinite Creator as I am processing them at this point in time. This is my truth. Where there are mistakes in analysis or interpretation of established spiritual doctrine (or offensive or otherwise objectionable presentation of such material) – these mistakes are mine and I intend no offense. Where there is analysis, love, and light that casts a new perspective or resonates within you, then such is a gift from the Divine, and please accept it as such.
The Gita says there are many paths, and all paths lead to the ONE. So I know that we all will eventually make it home. If you’ve found this website, then I am blessed that our paths have crossed, and hope that our journey together (for however long it may last) is blessed with love and light to guide our way (and maybe sprinkled with a blessed kiss of grace from the Divine Mother).
May you find inspiration, peace, and love and light on the balance of your journey home – Namaste!
